Hi guys, I've been working on this little project in the last few weeks, and I'm now ready to release as beta. Every pinball table needs a cool theme, and really, what could be cooler than bean farming? So I'd like to present Bean Farmer Pinball
It took one month to largely complete the coding and graphics and another month to refine the game rules, iron out most bugs, and learn how to deploy to different platforms.
There's still much to do before I release it properly, but I'd appreciate any feedback and bug reports. Especially on Android devices and Linux.
Downloads available for Windows, MacOSX, Linux and Android here:
Runs really well on my Nexus 4. Will you be adding ramps?
Latest download versions are here:
This is the last version before the final is released. The major changes since beta 1 are: HD graphics, multiball, improved touch zones for Android and a range of bug fixes.
Beta 2 for Windows
Beta 2 for MacOSX
Beta 2 for Android
Beta 2 for Linux
Two minor issues:
- I found it hard to see which of the top lights are lit or not, I think it could use more contrast between the two states
- I find it hard to pull the "spring" at the bottom right as it's very close to the bottom edge
With the spring, are you trying to swipe on top of it? You can swipe anywhere on the screen in any direction, doesn't have to be over the spring.
Let me know and I'll get it sorted if it's an issue. I probably need to make that clearer.
Yep, silly me. I definitely didn't get that part. Much easier now.
Head on over to the website at: http://hippocket.waynejohnson.net
At the moment you can download the straight .APK file. The game is pending approval in the Amazon App Store.
Other platforms will appear over the next few days.
Hope you like it. I'm pretty happy to finally get a title out.
I'm going to get that latest version right away!
Windows installer version is now up on the site as well.
Now I really do have to go and pack for this trip....
Direct download from the site above or you can also get it from itch.io from there.
I've also added the android version to itch.io as well.
Just got Linux left to go.
How is the new table coming along?
I just had to get that singleton issue in my head, but the packaging has slowed that down.
But everything is full swing.
I gave up the idea of getting it into an rpm for now, just unpack the folder to wherever and play.
So that marks the end of this project. :cheer:
Wait, the end of the first table or the end of the whole pinball project?
Raster Blaster is very much in active development.
